NEW YORK (AP) — Oprah Winfrey says she's keeping singer BeBe Winans off her show until domestic violence charges against him are resolved. The gospel singer had taped appearances on Winfrey's "karaoke challenge" and was on last Friday. Following the show, some bloggers questioned whether Winfrey was guilty of a double standard by including Winans when she took a strong stand against domestic violence following Chris Brown's assault of then-girl friend Rihanna.  

Oprah took a hard stand on Chris Brown , but just a few days ago the talk show host allowed another famous alleged woman-abuser on her show -- and now the victim says she feels betrayed. The man in the middle is gospel singer BeBe Winans -- who is accused of shoving his ex-wife Debra Winans to the ground in front of their kids back in February. Bebe was on "Oprah" on Friday to pimp out his new gospel CD -- his domestic violence charge is pending until another court hearing next year.  

Finally, after some delays and re-shoots, 'Mama, I Want To Sing!' will make its world premiere as the closing night selection at the 13th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival. The latest movie from writer-director Tyler Perry , I Can Do Bad All By Myself , may strike you as being another comedy featuring Perry's big bad old lady Madea. However, Madea has only a small role as comic relief in this melodrama/morality play. The credits tell us that the movie is based on Perry's 2000 play of the same name, but after reading summaries of the play, the two seem to have little in common apart from the title and a moral awakening on the part of the lead characters.
